So Who Really Killed Avicii?

At this point, that question is more rhetorical if anything, as coverage over the late Swedish superstars’ death ran rampant for nearly months it seemed. Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, passed away in Muscat, Oman on April 20, 2018. While it was highly speculated that he took his own life, a note from his family all but confirmed it.

A recent GQ article titled ‘Who Really Killed Avicii’, covers just about everything having to do with Avicii. From his meteoric rise to his savvy production skills,  and even his final days. Throughout the article, it speaks about the different team members, the alcohol & drugs, as well as Tim’s mental health issues, and the different effects they all had upon the young DJ and Producer.

As we all know, Arash Pournouri is a name just as synonymous as Avicii. This is because this is the name of his longtime manager. Without Arash, there would potentially be no Avicii. Pournouri managed the young Bergling into superstardom. The Swedish Manager also has songwriting and production credits on multiple songs with Tim too.

While many people point the finger at Arash for the untimely death of this generation’s Beethoven, the article briefly covers Arash’s side of the story and even goes so far as to state that much of the footage containing him in Avicii’s documentary ‘Avicii: True Stories‘ is from his own collection.

While the article covers a whole plethora of issues surrounding Avicii’s death, it also features some hopeful news as well. There is proof that Avicii was aware of his problems with Anxiety & Depression, and even went as far as to get into Yoga in an attempt to find some Zen. If you are an avid fan the late Bergling, then some of this information might not be new to you. However, if you’re not, I highly recommend you check it out here.
